"Found," NBC's original crime thriller series, returns for a gripping second season with 22 episodes filled with shocking twists and turns. Shanola Hampton (Shameless) and Mark-Paul Gosselaar (NYPD Blue, Pitch) star as Gabi Mosely and Hugh "Sir" Evans. The new season sees Gabi's darkest secret come to light, and she must rebuild trust with her team and face her escaped kidnapper once again, all while rescuing the missing people who need her. The new season premieres on October 3.

"FOUND" is the highly acclaimed series that follows Gabrielle "Gabi" Mosely, a former kidnapping victim who owns a missing persons firm named Mosely & Associates (M&A). The firm specializes in finding missing people who have been abandoned by law enforcement and overlooked by the system. Twenty years after her own kidnapping, Gabi secretly keeps her childhood kidnapper, Hugh "Sir" Evans, a high school teacher who kidnapped her when she was a student and held her captive for over a year. Now, she has him captive in the basement of her home, which, in a psychological twist, makes him an unwilling partner to psycho-analyze the minds of other kidnappers to help her solve her cases. Gabi will stop at nothing to find the victims.

The series is created by Nkechi Okoro Carroll and executive produced by Lindsay Dunn, Sarah Schechter, Greg Berlanti, Nkechi Okoro Carroll, Leigh Redman, Sonay Hoffman, DeMane Davis, and David Madden. The producers are Jon Wallace, Carl Ogawa, Jennifer Lence, Shanola Hampton, and Zoe Marshall. Production companies are Rock My Soul Productions, Universal Television, Warner Bros. Television, and Berlanti Productions.

The series also stars:

  • Kelli Williams as Margaret Reed

  • Brett Dalton Detective Mark Trent

  • Gabrielle Walsh  Lacey Quinn

  • Arlen Escarpeta Zeke Wallace

  • Karan Oberoi as Dhan Rana

The first season, which debuted on October 3, 2023, was the breakout hit of the season and ended on a tantalizing cliffhanger. Gabi confessed her kidnapping secret to Mosley and Associates after Sir escaped from her basement. With Sir on the loose and reveling in his newfound freedom, continuously taunting Gabi, Lacey, one of the associates, is in real danger after Sir kidnaps her for a second time.

Season two, episode one, "Missing While Bait," will find the team adjusting to Gabi's betrayal. Her confession has a rippling effect on the team that shakes everyone to their core. The manhunt is on for Sir, and the stakes have never been higher as the team rallies around Gabi to search for one of their own.

Shanola Hampton perfectly finds the right balance between being determined and compassionate fueled by Gabi's trauma. The complex relationship she navigates with Gosselaar's "Sir," who is equally fantastic in his sinister role, grips with emotion as she teeters on the line between morality and an emotional pressure cooker with deeply suppressed emotions. Gabi unapologetically does not play by the rules because her tenacity in finding these missing persons always leads to reuniting the victims with their loved ones, unlike the police who were sworn to protect and serve. For Gabi, the end justifies the means. If those means mean chaining her previous captor and using him as a resource to gain insight into the minds of kidnappers, Gabi has proven she has no qualms about crossing that line.

The series continues to shine a light on marginalized individuals with incredible acting from the entire cast. NBC reminds us that over 600,000 people are reported missing in the U.S. each year. Each character is personally invested with each case as they feel a connection bound by their own trauma where they were either kidnapped themselves or personally know of someone who does. Each case feels authentic and rich in suspense as it highlights the traumatic experiences of the victims and their loved ones that are far too prevalent in the world today.
